Loftys Comet

Loftys Comet is a 5-piece instrumental Jazz-Rock sax ensemble based in Saint Louis, Missouri. With their unique synthesis of jazz, funk and alternative rock, the band is often compared to a brew of Moon Hooch, Robert Glasper, and Badbadnotgood. Since forming in 2019, the band has released two albums and are looking forward to further releases in the new year.

The band formed as the members met through highschool, inspired by the common goal to perform their experience musically, in front of ever-increasing audiences. Beginning with the release of their first studio album, The Juveniles of Funk, and the subsequent release of the single, Shower Thoughts, the band garnered significant attention from fans and critics alike. The group also gained notoriety through NPR’s review, describing the act as “quirky and foot-tapping”.

Combining ripping saxophone lines, polished string work, and hypnotizing percussion, Loftys Comet provides a special cut of entertainment second to none in both passion and presence. 

To date, Loftys Comet continues to bring in a large active listening base; 18,000 monthly listeners. The band is currently working on their third studio album and are planning a tour for 2026. Be sure to reach out for information, booking or otherwise!
